Native Instruments – UNA CORDA 2022 is a contemporary piano with one string per key that was originally designed by David Klavins in close collaboration with the composer Nils Frahm is accurately recreated in UNA CORDA. UNA CORDA gives a tone unlike anything your audience has ever heard, whether you’re writing songs for a movie or simply adding new aspects to techno, pop, or jazz music. Use three different sound banks. The sound made when each piano hammer strikes a single string is captured in the first. The second and third images depict two material preparations including hammers and strings. Felt produces a smooth sound reminiscent of an unplugged vintage electric piano by combining a soft tone with less attack noise. Cotton’s attack is noisier, more percussion-based, and has more overtones.
